Big things are ahead for the Rivermont Schools Danville campus. 

In the upcoming 2026-2027 school year, the campus will relocate to a new, larger facility at 301 Lowes Dr, Danville, VA 24540. The move reflects Rivermont Schools’ continued commitment to students and families in the Danville community and creates more space to support learning, growth, and daily student success. 

While the campus will have a new address, the heart of the school will stay the same. Families and district partners can continue to expect the same programming, the same caring team, and the same strong support for students with autism and emotional support needs. 

The new school location will include 14 classrooms, offering greater flexibility for student grouping, individualized instruction, and future growth. Students will also have access to dedicated therapy rooms, a gymnasium and playground, a cafeteria and library, a life skills room, and a sensory room designed to support regulation and calm. 

For Principal Tia Hairston, the new space represents something much bigger than a building upgrade. 

“This move is about more than square footage, it’s about what we can offer our students and their families going forward,” said Tia Hairston, Principal of the Rivermont Schools Danville campus. “We’ve outgrown our current space, and this new facility gives our team the resources to continue doing what we do best: meeting every student where they are and helping them grow. Our commitment to this community has never been stronger.” 

The move will also allow Rivermont Schools to serve more students in the region while continuing to provide the specialized academic, behavioral, and therapeutic support families count on.
